Database publishing on the Web
Cardbox does not offer a direct Web interface to its databases. This is because such an interface would be slower and less flexible than the Cardbox user interface. Nevertheless, there are times when you may want to publish data by this means: for instance, when some users will not be running Windows, or when system administrators ban the installation of new software on users' computers.
Two of our distributors are providing Web-based solutions:
- Decoder Software can provide access to Cardbox through ASP scripts and Java servlets, both of which run on the web server. Here is a sample page.
- IOTA Consultancy has a middleware program called Cardweb, which talks to your browser and the Cardbox server. See the Cardweb site if you want more information.
